Mission Overview
July to September '06, I worked for the World Food Program in the Democratic Republic of Congo, at Kinshasa. The UN Joint Logistic Center gather all kind of GIS data from local Administration and NGO's.
UNJLC Staff produced GIS data, and maps freely available on UNJC website.

Trained UN and NGO's staff in the use of PDF maps and basic GIS viewer

Collected and integrated data among the GIS

Produced and distributed Maps - check out UNJLC catalogue

Review GIS usage and need in local WFP / FAO agencies and NGO's while in mission in Lubumbashi, Katanga; and Goma, north Kivu.
